OTTILIA CHIMHANDA

My project will consist of portraits of female figures of colour, I will use a mixture of gouache and acrylic paint while working on canvas or canvas board. Alongside these portraits, I will have a voice recording of myself speaking Shona. Through these works, I wish to inspect the struggle I have with my identity and the balance that comes to play with having two cultural /behavioural influence.
