REES RIDOUT

This project is the continuation of my evolving art style, with this project specifically being an attempt to give a representative understanding of the creative process involved via the artwork and research to viewers. As an artist who is on the autistic spectrum, I have always seen things differently from others and approached the creation of my work with a very methodical, experimental, and logical mindset. This mindset allows me to constantly break things down their base elements to see what does and does not work. This allows me to recombine these elements later to produce new artworks in future projects meanwhile looking visually and functionally appealing but continuing to have a noticeable lineage between one art piece and the next. With this current project, the new element added is the lighting effects on top of the already increased overall size of the produced sculptures. The central piece will be the large silver spiral with other smaller sculptures acting secondary to it. An unintended by-product of this project is the colour photos taken of my sculptures which were originally for documentation and experimentation purposes but ultimately proved to be a viable independent artwork.
